Hello! We are the Eco Club!

The Eco Club is made up of two representatives from each class (from Y2 upwards) voted for by our peers. We work together with Mrs Ardill to make a difference in our local environment.

We meet regularly to discuss what we can do to make St Joseph’s more eco-friendly. We plan assemblies and competitions to get the whole school involved!

Our activities include:

  • Collecting various items, from children, for recycling which will raise money for a selection of charities

  • Switch off fortnight

  • Regular walk to school weeks

  • Litter picking

  • Bags to school, collecting clothing to be reused whilst raising money for school

Remember to check the newsletter online for any new competitions and initiatives! We also welcome any ideas and thoughts to support our local area in becoming more eco-friendly.

The Eco Club is currently working in partnership with Helmshore Recycling and will be collecting particular household goods for recycling. Could you please help? Here is a list of the household goods that the Eco Club will be collecting.
