At St Joseph’s, we have a dedicated Pupil Leadership Team that empowers our children to take an active role in our school community. By embracing our core values, they inspire and lead others, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.

Our Pupil Leadership Teams

We are the GIFT team. We meet every week to discuss our ideas to celebrate our faith throughout the school. We plan and deliver Collective Worship sessions across the school throughout the year with different liturgical themes. We plan and deliver assemblies for different occasions throughout the year. Most recently we planned and delivered an assembly for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal. We lead ‘Stay and Pray’ sessions with parents and members of our parish community. For other members of our parish community, we make cards to send to them for different occasions:- birthdays, weddings, baptisms or when they are sick and we take part in charity work to support those in need.

We are the Caritas Team and we work alongside the GIFT team and the Eco Warriors.  Our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we hope to make present in our unjust and broken world, the justice, love and peace of God.

We are the Eco warriors and we work very closely with the GIFT team and Caritas Team.

The Eco Club is made up of two representatives from each class (from Y2 upwards) voted for by our peers. We work together with Mrs Ardill to make a difference in our local environment.

We meet regularly to discuss what we can do to make St Joseph’s more eco-friendly. We plan assemblies and competitions to get the whole school involved!

Our activities include:

Collecting various items, from children, for recycling which will raise money for a selection of charities

Switch off fortnight

Regular walk to school weeks

Litter picking

Bags to school, collecting clothing to be reused whilst raising money for school

Remember to check the newsletter online for any new competitions and initiatives! We also welcome any ideas and thoughts to support our local area in becoming more eco-friendly.

These groups embody our commitment to developing the hearts, minds, and spirits of our students, inspiring them to live out our Catholic values with purpose and compassion. The Pupil Leadership Team plays a key role in strengthening our school community, demonstrating that even the simplest actions, when rooted in love, can create a lasting impact.
